Let me tell you that our Fellowship kids are awesome! Not only are they making an impact on Cincinnati, but also on the other sos groups and the vineyard volunteers and employees. We have heard many stories from the SOS staff about how well behaved and respectful our kids have been. Praise God.
Yesterday we stayed on site and participated in a prayer walk, a destiny rescue project, and prepared give away bags for the homeless. The session ended with worship, prayer, and communion. This time was special for everyone - and all of the students felt God's love.
We are heading out today to do car washes and water give aways. This is not only a fun day, but a great opportunity to show God's love in a practical way. All of the students are excited to see who God is going to bring for them to "love on" today.
We have 7 students getting baptized tonight. You can watch it live at 7:00pm at www.summerofservice.com/baptism.
I'm sorry the updates haven't been regular, the connection at the hotel is too weak to connect.

The pray and go was a great start to the week. All of the teams started the day by going to a nursing home. It was a blessing for everyone - This kids were interacted really well with the residents and helped them play games like corn hole and bingo. Some of the teams got into really good conversations with the residents and the employees and were able to pray with them.
After leaving the nursing home the kids stormed Cincinnati doing random acts of kindness. Some bought restaurant gift cards and handed them out, others bought popsicles and drinks and took them to a local pool. All of the teams have great stories from the day.
Today is the partner project. This could be anything from doing a block party to yard work - we find out when we get to the church this morning. Pray for chances to love on people and show them Christ's love!

Although we were stuck in construction traffic for over 30 minutes, we arrived safely! After checking in at the infamous "Howard Johnson" we went to Cici's Pizza and then to the church for a celebration and a concert. While at the church all the people at the vineyard set 3 new world records: Singing happy birthday while standing on one foot, doing the largest simultaneous high five, and the longest linked arm wave. These were video recorded and sent to "record setter."
Today we are doing "pray and go" (formerly known as E2) for our service project. The kids will spend much of the morning praying about what God wants them to do to show His love to the people in Cincinnati. This is always exciting because we never know how God is going to work!
